Lisa Murphy plays a unique role as GCON’s current vice president of accounting and human resources. Responsible for both the financial and personnel wellbeing of the company, Lisa’s executive, dual position matches her experience to not only monitor GCON’s fiscal health, but her drive to elevate the careers of those who move GCON forward.

With a degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Arizona, a master of business administration from Arizona State University, and a certified public accountant (CPA) certification, Lisa’s career began in the government sector. She first started in the Office of the Auditor General of Arizona, then moving to the City of Scottsdale as an accounting manager and advancing to department director. In 2007, Lisa added non-profits to her portfolio, becoming a consultant with LarsonAllen, LLP and in 2010, stepping into the role of vice president of finance for the esteemed Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. After one year, Lisa added chief operating officer to her title, providing oversight and management for Taliesin West, a world-renowned landmark that welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually.

In 2019, Lisa transitioned to the construction industry, joining GCON with the goal to grow the company from 65 employees to a regional and national contender. Today, with 200+ team members, Lisa’s primary focus is creating and fostering internal structures for people to pursue their passion, grow their careers and be successful. With skillful and thoughtful guidance, Lisa preserves the close, caring company culture of GCON as it continues to expand and grow.
