MICHAEL D'ANDREA

Michael has been in the real estate development industry for over 28 years. Educated as an architect, he has gained an extensive background in land  acquisition, equity and debt financing, zoning and entitlements, development, architectural design, construction management, and asset disposition. This experience combined with his attention to superior client service has allowed him to maintain productive and effective relationships with brokers, lenders, equity partners, consultants, contractors, and residents, resulting in several marquee projects that have earned both national and internationally recognized awards. Prior to his role with GCON, he represented multiple world-class organizations including Alliance Residential Co., The Related Group, Westgate Resorts, Optima Inc. & Hill Int.

Michael has become an authority in providing comprehensive development and construction services for large scale, mixed-use, luxury multi-housing & resort style hospitality projects throughout the country. His diverse skill set allows him lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams of 20-30+ professionals consisting of Development Associates, PM’s, Design Professionals, Engineers, GC’s, and Trade Partners. A consummate professional, he has an impressive list of career accomplishments and is highly regarded by his clients and colleagues. Michael also remains committed to the community relative to volunteerism, urban planning, and responsible development growth. 

Civically, he served as a 2-term Chairman of the Planning Commission for the City of Scottsdale and most recently has become a member of the Board of Directors for the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy and a member of the FLW Foundation Board of Stewards. Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1997 and is an active member of several key industry organizations. In 2014, he was named as one of the ‘Top 20 Under 40’ Development & Construction Executives in the USA by ENR Magazine and most recently named as one of the top ‘people to know’ (PTK) in commercial real estate in AZRE Magazine’s 2021 edition.
