The City of Buckeye was looking to fully upgrade its existing Food Services program at the Senior Center. This project included a building addition of 1,500 square feet to house the City’s new state of the art kitchen. Work included all new food preparation equipment in a new masonry and steel building addition. Additionally, the existing smaller food preparation areas and kitchen were modified to expand the center’s administrative offices and multi-purpose rooms.

A challenge this project faced was that it was started in the middle of one of the most challenging times relative to global supply chain issues. GCON worked with the design team and the City to manage the lead time through substitutions when possible. Additionally, we focused on maintaining food service operations on the active Senior Center Campus. Special precautions have been taken to ensure we meet the needs of the City’s Critical Senior Community with limited disruption.
