Project DEscription
GCON was engaged to complete the conversion of a decommissioned fab building located in Santa Clara, California, to a Data Center, which will provide 20 MW of high and low-density, Tier-0 data center in Phase-1 to support computational needs. The building consists of four levels: the sub-fab level, fab level, fan deck, interstitial, and roof, with the total area being 188,900 SQ FT. This building was built in 1989 as a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Our scope also includes hallways and egress systems on both levels, which will be fully developed with new finishes, lighting, and conditioning. The Main Data Hall will house three high-density server modules, with each module containing 112 server racks rated at 57 KW/rack.
