The One Wilshire building in downtown Los Angeles is one of the most notable high-tech data centers in the world, housing infrastructure to support major companies such as Netflix, Amazon and Google. GCON was chosen to lead the data center project because of their extensive experience in the mission-critical space. When GCON learned they would have no elevator to transport millions of dollars of equipment, they didn’t turn down the work, but instead used the expertise of their high-tech executive to find a solution and finish the project without any concern to the Client.

GCON worked with the city, business owners, and residents to coordinate a site logistic plan. We coordinated with each entity to identify traffic closures for the 458 foot crane. The crane took up an entire block for three days. GCON provided BIM Services, Precon Services, coordinated phasing, provided a fast track delivery and utilized Lean construction including Just-In-Time Deliveries.
